Mr. Muhtar was admitted to the California bar in 2008. He was born in Los Angeles, California and attended the University of California at Los Angeles where he received his B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, in 2005 and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Muhtar received his J.D. in 2008 from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. During law school, Mr. Muhtar served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Richard M. Neiter and as the Senior Editor for the Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice. In 2007, the Los Angeles County Bar Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Committee presented Mr. Muhtar with the Outstanding Bankruptcy Student Award.
